Carmine Lake is the creative union of Rachael Doble and Simon Critchley. Rachael has worked within the fashion and interiors world her whole life, whilst Simon is a lifelong artist and illustrator. Working together we have the opportunity to explore concepts and ideas that tickle their fancy, slightly mischievous, irreverent maybe, but never boring. We are committed to a strong manufacturing program which keeps all products, right down to the woven labels manufactured in the UK.

Today, Maison Christian Lacroix expresses its dynamism and love for colour via its lifestyle collections designed by the brand’s Creative Director, Sacha Walckhoff. Combining the excellence of Christian Lacroix with exceptional savoir-faire, the Studio’s talent is conveyed through the realization of these varied and unique collections of fabrics for curtains and upholstery and delightfully expressive wallpapers.

Cole and Son was founded in 1875 by John Perry, son of a Cambridgeshire merchant. In those days the company was situated in Islington, north London, an area famous for the 190 hand block printing companies working there in the 18th and 19th centuries. Today, the Cole & Son archive consists of approximately 1,800 block print designs, 350 screen print designs and a huge quantity of original drawings and wallpapers.

Designers Guild Wallpapers was established in 1970 by Tricia Guild, Designers Guild designs and wholesales furnishing fabrics, wallcoverings, upholstery and bed and bath collections worldwide. The company is headed and owned by brother and sister, Tricia Guild, Founder and Creative Director, and Simon Jeffreys, Group Chief Executive. The Designers Guild business philosophy is to combine creativity and innovation with the highest levels of quality: quality of design, product, service and people.

Best known for wallpaper and fabric designs, over the next 150 years, the company became known simply as Morris & Co. They enjoyed long periods of growth but also suffered mixed fortunes, particularly during the turbulent years of the First and Second World Wars. Morris & Co. finally went into voluntary liquidation in 1940 but the design archives and remaining wallpaper stock were purchased by another household name in home furnishings, Arthur Sanderson & Sons. Morris & Co. has remained a part of the Sanderson family ever since and today they sit alongside each other as distinctive and unique brands under the Style Library umbrella.

NLXL was founded in the Netherlands in November 2010 by Rick and Esther Vintage. The company focusses on premium quality wallpaper. They work with famous designers around the world to create these unique range of papers. The collections include the Scrapwood range by Piet Hein Eek, the Concrete collection by Piet Boon, the Brooklyn Tins by Merci and Remixed Wallpaper by Arthur Slenk. The Sanderson Story As a renowned distributer of fine wallcoverings from around the world, Arthur Sanderson’s early endeavours laid the foundations for a successful future. Overwhelming demand led Sanderson to open his own Chiswick wallpaper factory, but in 1870, only three years after production began, Arthur died leaving his sons in charge.
